The Academia Education team were a proud supporting partner of the recent Schools & Academies show taking place at the ExCeL in London last week.  If you missed us, you missed out! 

Returning as a primary sponsor from last year, the Schools and HE/FE team from Academia hosted an education solution stand situated in the technology and educational resources zone.  Located on stand 422, we showcased our partnership with Apple by hosting one to one product demonstrations and meetings on how Apple devices can power a classroom environment. 

Alongside our stand, Tom Able-Green, our Education Solutions Manager and responsible for Apple’s proposition from Academia, gave 2 stage talks at the show:

Tom looked at how can we make a better-informed decision on the use of education technology. Reviewing some of the relevant, important statistics within education and how to use them and how tech can better support the learning environment, including teacher and student workloads and workflow.

Essential Planning and Support is key on the Road to Success 

Tom looked at the ever-increasing concerns around IT financing and how to ensure the long-term sustainability of IT projects.  Tom also noted the way’s IT strategies could support the larger educational vision within education establishments. 

An essential part of our Academia family, Tom was then on the stand to drive strategic teaching and learning perspective across all education sectors from Early Years to Higher Education. 

EdTech Strategy

Academia was also able to answer live questions regarding our part in the new government announcement – Technology in education will be transformed by a new Government strategy to reduce teacher workload, boost student outcomes and help level the playing field for those with special needs and disabilities.
