Surface Go Event with QPR

Academia are delighted to announce an exclusive event with Microsoft taking place at the Loftus Road Stadium, home of Queens Park Rangers Football Club in London on the 28th November 2018.

The breakfast briefing, starting at 9am for registration, will be a hands-on workshop to showcase the latest technology from Microsoft that is shaping the classrooms of the future.

Taking place at the home of QPR, Loftus Road is an 18,439 capacity stadium situated in White City in West London and in use since 1906. Packed with incredible history and amazing moments from over 100 years of the football club, QPR is now embracing new technology and will be on hand to showcase the stadium with a free tour at the end of the event.

The workshop will be lead from our partners at Microsoft for Education, stalwarts in the EduTech space and will feature full hands-on experiences of using the new Surface family of devices. On show via an interactive presentation from Steve Beswick, inspirational Education business leader for Microsoft, you will be able to see first-hand and operate the following:

Surface Go – The new 10” Surface Go is perfect for all your daily tasks, giving you laptop performance with tablet portability, all-day battery life, and a stunning touchscreen.

Surface Laptop – Power through your day beautifully with up to 14.5 hours of battery life, an Intel® Core™ processor, and stunning touchscreen in a thin, light design and rich colours

Surface Pro – With up to 13.5 hours of battery life and a stunning PixelSense™ Display, Surface Pro gives you a best-in-class laptop, plus the versatility of a studio and tablet.

Surface Book 2 – Power professional-grade software all day with the latest quad-core Intel® processors and the best graphics performance yet with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GPUs.

Surface Studio – Surface Studio is designed for the creative process. The 28” PixelSense™ Display gives you a huge canvas for all kinds of work. Use it upright or draw on it like a drafting table.

Academia will then show how the Surface family of devices are changing the way Schools are using technology in the classroom with Tom Able-Green, our schools specialist, who will be on hand to discuss the latest vision of current clients and how the education industry is deploying major technology changes.

Also on show at QPR will be our friends from Zioxi, furniture specialists for the education sector, with a presentation and demonstration of the latest range of classroom desks from John Gillingham, specialist consultant from the group. Zioxi will showcase how their furniture designs are working with partners like Microsoft to deliver interactive experiences in the classroom.

The action packed morning is a must for those in Education who want to learn more about the hardware devices that are shaping the classrooms of the future.
